I've been volunteering at Barons Court since last year and have been working at the in the drop ins as an extra set of hands. I volunteer because London can feel like a very unforgiving place at times, and organisations like Barons Court never fail to reveal the greatest parts of human nature
Our current volunteers, above, play a vital role in the project's work. Without them we
would not be able to run all our services and activities. Our volunteers help out in the
kitchen and drop in and also lead groups and activities, which enables us to offer more.
We welcome volunteers who have lived experience of homelessness or mental health issues as well as other people from the wider community.
For details on becoming a volunteer please follow the link below or contact us.
We welcome individuals who can volunteer with us on a regular basis, normally weekly. We ask
that volunteers commit to at least 3 months, as we have costs to cover and it also takes time
to build up relationships with our service users.
You may also have a particular interest or skill that you wish to offer e.g. running a music group, so please do contact us if you think that you have something to give that will enhance the life of the project and the people we serve.
We are happy to work with Corporate Groups and have enjoyed hosting many organisations. So that you get the best from your time with us, we need to ensure your offer matches our needs. We generally prefer groups of no more than ten people at any one time, due to the size of our building. However we can sometimes take larger groups over a number of days, or for one off events such as decorating the project. Do contact us if you think you might like to come and work with us and we can explore together how you can help.
This video features 3 corporate groups who have helped out at the project. Hear from them what it meant to be able to spend time with our community as well as how they helped us.
We do not have any vacancies at this time. Please check back soon.
